This is Us
This is us! My husband and I, along with our teenage son, live in the Southern town that we were raised in and have grown to love.
Our daughter was married in 2019 and we gained a son in law that we dearly love. With my background in design and my husband's engineering mind for numbers/projects, we began work on this business in the fall of 2016.Our company is lovingly named after our daughter, Madison, and our son, Sterling. Both have played a part in helping us grow and we look forward to sharing God’s word together for many years to come!Before starting our company, plans had been made in my dreamer's heart to pursue other interests.Over time, it became clear that this pursuit was not the path for me, or our family. I can't say that I wasn't bummed(completely bummed) about this revelation at the time. However, doors slowly opened and we began to see the direction God was leading. He was leading us to start a jewelry company that would encourage people through His life giving words in scripture. What a blessing to see what God can do when we let go of our "wants" and wait to see what God places in our hands to do for Him. God is so very, very good and faithful to do just that ... use us in ways we never see coming.
Proverbs 19:21 reminds me of God's "redirecting". "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." And so it was in my heart back in 2016 when God began to do a new thing in our lives and Madison Sterling jewelry company came to be. I am so thankful that His purpose prevailed and we look forward to what He has in store. We've watched the Lord work out so many details along this journey and it continually reminds me that our greatest mission is to tell of Him ...to tell others about His great love for them. In this case, through jewelry!
One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 3:20 ... "Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think." That verse is worthy of a re-read. Really, what an amazing promise! He has a specific plan for your life ... a plan for you to share His love with others and to watch Him do infinitely more than you can imagine. He has a plan with your name written all over it!
I hope you find encouragement in this little piece of our story. I hope you find hope and encouragement for your story. From our mountain top moments to the very lowest valleys, He's working! He's working to make beauty out of ashes, to bring purpose from pain. He invites us on a journey, right where we are, to put our hope and trust in Him. Keep pressing on so that you may know the "infinitely more" He has in store for you. I'm cheering you on!
