Strength Renewed
Life can feel exhausting — work, family, worries, and burdens can drain our hearts and minds. Sometimes we push ourselves to keep going in our own strength, only to find ourselves burned out and weary.
One of the most encouraging passages is in Isaiah 40:31. “But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
I’ve often wondered what “waiting upon the Lord” really looks like. And I think it looks a lot like “not running ahead.” It looks like spending time in prayer, diving into his word & trusting His timing. It is resting while He works & receiving His strength while we do so.
He doesn’t promise to remove every hardship, but He does promise to carry our burdens and refresh our souls. He renews us. Like eagles, we are lifted above our circumstances by the power of His Spirit.
Today, if you feel worn out, bring your exhaustion to Jesus. Be honest with Him about your limits. Ask Him to exchange your weariness for His strength. He is faithful to lift you up when you have nothing left.
With love,
Mandy
